The British Museum is working with The Sandbox, an Ethereum-based meta-universe game, to develop a series of NFT digital collections with the museum's licensing partner, French startup LaCollection.

Previously, the museum has developed three NFT collections in collaboration with LaCollection.

The British Museum's most recent auction of NFT art depicts 20 pen and chalk drawings from the British Museum's collection by Giambattista Piranesi, a Venetian-born cartographer.

In January, the Centre Pompidou in Paris launched its own Web3 for the first time, with a year-long exhibition "Immaterial Policy" : From Certificates to Blockchain.
